Advice needed Apr 13, 2010
Hi,
I am a Polish citizen currently residing in UK. Over the past ten years I lived and worked in USA, Central America and Europe.
I have recently decided to relocate to Dubai due to personal circumstances, I am currently looking for work whilst living in London, something that I've never done before, every time I wanted to relocate I'd just travel to a place where I wanted to work and find a job there.
I have recently been offered an interview for a position of executive assistant, however they are asking me what are my salary expectations and I really have no clue what to answer. If a specific salary was offered to me I'd just do my research and find out what kind of standard of living I could expect with it. When they ask you how much do you want to earn it's obviously more difficult, can anyone point me in the right direction?
To give you more details, Im 29, no family and I'd be moving there by myself.

Thanks for reading.

This is pretty typical for the Gulf, the employer asking the employee what they expect.

Have a look at some of these earlier postings I did for some guidelines. Ask for at least 30% more than what you actually want to settle on, there is a whole haggling routine involved.

with regards to the cost-of-living posting, the housing prices are a little out, and could be reduced by about 30-40%!
