I live in Brisbane and am investigating working in Dubai. I am a qualified Quantity Survey but am working with a major construction company as a Design Manager. I have been working in the local construction industry for 21 years, with my experience mainly in building, and with limited civil experience (i.e. aviation). Can someone please advise me what job opportunities exist in Dubai as either QS or DM and the approx. salary package I should expect (in USD + list of benefits). If anyone could also advise me if it is best to accept accommodation or a living allowance as part of the package. I would also appreciate if someone could advise me whether relocation costs and return air-flights are normally included in packages, what are the expected working days and hours, and what (if any) job opportunities exist for my wife. A lot of questions I know, but my initial queries have returned such a broad range of responses. Thanks.
