I am a German student intending to move to Dubai as a spouse in about 1 or 2 years time - hopefully right after my graduation.
Naturally, I'm asking myself what I can do there work-wise - with a German M.A. in Political Science, History and English I assume it will not be the easiest thing to find a suitable job.
Beside my studies, I work as a volunteer for a local NGO in the field of human rights; furthermore, I'm interested in the work of NGOs in general, international organisations as well as charity work. Working with a non-profit organisation would be my favourite job option after graduation and I'm open for part time or full time employment as well as volunteering (for some time at least).
My previous internet research has led to surprisingly little results and it seems to me that organisations of this kind are, compared to other countries, quite under-represented in the UAE. My boyfriend confirmed this.
Now my question to you as people who know the local situation:
Can anyone give me some more information on this question, a personal view, or even helpful contact data?
