Hi there, I am after any handy information about a single woman from New Zealand who wants to experience the Dubai life for a while. I have 16 years of travel industry experience (wholesale and retail as well as travle tutoring) and have lived in London and San Francisco also. (I currently work for a specialist adventure travel company in Auckland). I work with 2 other colleagues who have lived in Dubai and have told me that I should have no problem getting work in Dubai because I am European. I dont know where to start or when the best time to look for jobs are as I have already sent my CV to two different hotel companies with no replies at present). I dont want to work as a retail consultant again as I am looking for a change and am much prefer to work face to face with people. It has been suggested I approach the big exhibition company in Dubai also. Should I definitely line up a job in Dubai before I go and how much money should I expect to get paid with my work experience. If anyone else out there works in this line of work I would most appreciate any help as I dont want to make a giant leap for nothing.
