I have just completed university where I received a 2:1 in Architectural Technology BSC (hons). I am now looking for a job to take me on and continue my development. I have worked for the last 2 years of my degree on placements to aid my knowledge and to prepare me for working in the industry. If you have any vacancies which may be suitable I would be grateful if you could contact me.

I currently have no working status in Dubai and will require sponsorship from whoever employed me.

I am living in the UK at present and am willing to relocate on short notice.

Architectural Technician (Contract)
• Producing CAD drawings from measured surveys. Projects including residential development, and Leisure Redevelopments.
[September 2007 – June 2008 ] Avebury International, Milton Keynes
Architectural Technician
• Producing CAD drawings for various medium and small sized Residential projects, using hand drawn work and converting into a digital format, use of the building regulations to draw accurately for planning and building control. Throughout this I learnt about working on larger scale developments and the requirements for strong communication within teams to create a successful, streamlined project that is able to overcome inherent design issues. I continued drawing building regulations and used NHBC standards to complete the drawing packages. I was introduced to a new CAD system which I had to quickly learn called CADDIE and became a course of information for people in the office regarding the software. I regularly attended CPD meetings to attain more knowledge of construction products and methods.
[ July 2007 – September 2007 ] Kingspan Offsite, Milton Keynes
Project Designer
• Working as a designer drawing open and closed panel timbre frames from design drawings provided by architectural practices. As working with a timber frame manufacturer I was able to learn about timber framed systems with there suited applications and the possibilities of future uses of the modern timber frame. Here I learned a specialist software package designed specifically for the production of timber framed systems

[ Sep 2006 – April 2007 ] Sidleys Chartered Surveyors, Oxford
CAD Operator (Day Release)
• Producing CAD drawings, assisting in building Surveys with a view to modernise, photo copying, converting hand drawn plans into CAD plans that complied with building regulations, and where used for construction. Created CAD drawings for student accommodation, showrooms for motor trade, specialist accessible changing rooms, and office spaces. Here I was using Auto CAD 2007 which I was fortunate to be previously trained on at University.

• Sales through tills, Refunds, Customer services, tidying of allocated shop floor areas, assisting customers with heavy goods.

• Life Guarding, Customer Services, Organising of equipment, party entertainer, Cleaning, and swimming teacher assistant. Regular updates in training and assessment Running Day time child care activities for children.

• Sales, Restocking of Shelves, Assisting with deliveries, Cleaning, and various other tasks

Life Achievements
• After completing my A Levels I decided to take a road trip from New York to Miami. Whilst there I traveled south west across the country until I was in New Orleans where I was evacuated 2 days before hurricane Katrina struck devasting the area.
• In 2002 and 2003 I took place in the Cutty Sark tall ships race where I raced from Santander in Spain to Southampton in the UK and from Travemunde in Germany to Amsterdam. During these I took part in navigation and helming of the sailing yacht as part of a team.
• Through Scouting;
o I have extensively Kayaked large stretches of rivers in the UK and various organized trips which have taken groups down rivers including the Wye, Avon, Trent, Thames and several white water experiences. I trained a group of younger scouts with the aim of them taking there BCU 1 Star kayaking assessment.
o I have organized and taken part in various hikes with my main achievement within hiking been a 30mile hike down the river Wye which I undertook as part of my chief scouts award.
o I have been on many weekend offshore sailing weekends with scouts to train myself and younger scouts the skills required to sail offshore.
• As part of my Junior Sports leader award I organized and led various P.E lessons at a local primary school over a period of weeks. I introduced sports and various activities to them as an aim to achieving the practical part of the award.
