Job tasks:
Provide a technical support and permanent availability of the BSS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform the actions to maintain 24/24 hrs BSS Operation, protective measures and services restoring.
To perform operating actions and to attend to their application.
To assure a technical support to high quality to BSS Team.
To contribute to improve the smooth running of BSS Motorola equipment.
To analyze complex BSS dysfunction and propose technical solutions or operating developments.
To participate in BSS configuration and transmission developments.
To monitor quality of BSS equipment installations and the use of standards.
Responsible with my team which consists of three Engineers for any BSS activities for all Motorola Network all over Egypt which consists of 36 BSC , 1050 BTS and 3 OMC-R connected to 7 MSC. (Mobinil has more than 3 Million Subsribers).
Responsible for creating databases for any new network element which includes BTS , BSC on the OMC-R.
Implementing all network modification projects like migrating sites from BSC to another or migrating BSC from MSC to another.
Radio Quality Analysis ( RQA ) work following up the network helath from the daily statistics ( Call drop rate , call setup success rate , TCH & SDCCH congestion rate , Hardware problems , Radio Interference problems , Uplinks & Downlink , etc.. ) and solving network problems by by investigating & detecting the reasons.
Detection and analysis of all alarms and events from the OMC-R.
Supporting maintenance team by piloting them from the OMC-R by remote troubleshooting.
