Yyep poppy just hang around for sure this event will happen,most people are suggesting November. I received an email saying newbie are always welcome in any event.

newbies are always welcome, this event will likely be in November as the weather is just too warm right now too fully enjoy it but they'll be other meets between now and then.

Sure I can flutter my eyelids and borrow a couple of suitable cars ... but two things:

1: They will not be hummers
2: DK will not be driving them!!

Sand Boarding is a laugh plus I have a mate that organises Quad bike desert safaris (people can follow in 4x4's too)

A trundle through the sand stop for a water break
Another trundle

get to the camp for dinner and a little light refreshment

Stay over night

Quad it back in the morning

Did I use that excuse? I think the one I really used was "I was avoiding a 'sand snake'..." they are exactly the same colour as the sand, appear in front of you and cause you to take avoiding action/hit something/trash the motor...then disappear again! Very hard to spot you know!
