No direspect to those who are celebrating Isra'a Wal Miraj, which marks the Prophet Mohammad's journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and ascension.

arnie this holiday is not tied to a specific georgian calendar date, since it follows the lunar calendar.

Maad, what does that mean in connection with whether or not alcohol will be served? Different if gregorian or lunar calendar holiday?

arniegang wrote:The exclusion to the rules only apply to 5 * hotels, as long as there are no permanent residences within the hotel. So for example the JBH meets the rule, however the Fairmont and the Shangri La on the SZR does not.
The Dept of Tourism grant special exclusions to all hotels that meet the requirements for alcohol and all food and beverages including Ramadan for those hotels.
It matters not when in the year any holdiays or celebrations fall, it is of no consequence.
ps: dont forget not all hotels are 5* and these rules do not apply therefore.
