Hey, if any of you guys are planning on going to Al Ain Mall, think twice before dropping in on the Home Center.

We recently went there and after paying for the stuff at the counter, the cashier vamoosed telling us that someone would come to pack our stuff. - since they normally wrap the breakable items.

well then - it took us a whole 20 minutes to get out of there - why? because 4 of their staff were sucking up to a western expat freak. what were they expecting? - a huge tip, just because he probably spent thousands and bought a lot of their stuff. Happy to see the look on their faces when he just walked off without tipping them. I ended up packing most of the stuff myself.

Well maybe the non-Western expat freaks should tip a little more often, eh?

Well, it was descrimination by non-whites against non-whites. Can't blame the whites for that. (I'm assuming the original poster meant they were whites.)

Yeah not blaming anyone, white or black or brown. Sometimes I just hate how the norms are.

I feel sorry for some of these workers who get such a low salary that they depend on the tips they get.

If I am being blatantly ignored I will speak up and ask for staff assistance. I don't know why Arjun didn't think of that.

Well yeah I also have to ask why the person didn't raise their voice and ask for assistance as well. If you just stand there in silence then of course they will ignore you.
