I think Scotland is a country. It also has its own parliment.
Saying that the canary islands belong to spain, gibralter is part of the uk and a whole host of other places have strong relations to each other but eh!

Another great thread to support my suggestion for a travel forum (that Dubai Guide forum is the pits). Anyway I know at least Maaad supports the idea.

Did not count them but there must be 100 different countries (and many more cities) for which we could share our experiences, make recommendations, etc. (other than reading guidebook or in addition to).

Haven't given up on the idea yet!
