Resetting A Mobile

Resetting a mobile Jul 27, 2006
Well I finally bought a new phone and I’m planning on donating my old one. Before I do though I would like to fully reset it, i.e. remove all my pictures and phone numbers etc.

Is there a way to do this easily, I have more than 500 numbers on the phone so 1 by 1 would be a pain.

The phone is a Nokia 6260, also I heard that people can retrieve old information from phones so is there a way to do a hard clean/Reset?

Any assistance you can offer would greatly be appreciated.

TIA.

You can hard reset your device with the code *#7370# + security code (12345 if you didn't change it) so your device will be as the first day - all data are deleted because the phone is formatted.

Just a quick update, I used this method:

power the phone off, press and keep down the keeys green/talk + ’3’ + ’*’, - power on the phone. release the keys when the formatting starts

It worked great, totally formatted the phone removing all traces of my settings, customizations, contacts, etc.

Thanks all :)
