Hmm...you seem to be confused with the real world and the cartoon world!

The words were actually written by Matt Groenig, who is very much considered as a thinking commentator on the modern social issues of today. The Simpsons, and even Futurama, have been cited in University papers as satirical yet highly accurate observations on the US domestic microcosm.
