First number is new ranking, 2nd one is ranking in 2005. Pretty interesting...

The 2 percentages, are index percentages based on New York (index = 100) The first one is 2005, the 2nd is 2006

Yes Dubai has shot up, but it still remains well down the list of large cities.

Interesting to note whether these studies take salaries into account though.

I saw the report but did not look too much into the methodology behind them.

???? I am Lebanese and I certainly find lots of bad things about Lebanon, but to say that there isn't much to do in Beirut... lol

I was in Dublin earlier this year and we found it was far more expensive than London, I guess its down to what you do and buy.

Hmmm...Just wondering where are the German cites like Berlin & Frankfurt ??? They ought to be in the top ranges; I am not very much convinced that this list is very accurate
