Hey guys,

Whats a good brand of DVD to play pirated DVDs?

I have a Samsung HDMI 720p player. Awesome picture. Beyond awesome actually (my Samsung LCD helps!). But I am willing to sacrifice on the quality of picture to get a DVD that plays perfectly pirated DVDs.

A decently priced and still reputable player = Pioneer multi region dvd player - works ace.

i bought a dvd/vhs combo 4 years ago or more , it plays everything fine , pirated too . the internet seems a better source for movies ,u get them from chinese dealers eh

Thats the one I use to compliment my system back in Australia. Never bothered to do the same here, as I left my 'collection' back home.

Which Samsung LCD did you get? And any advice as to where I could find the best prices?


EDIT: I've been looking at the R71 a lot for the past few weeks... I only need the right motivation AND to actually stay for a bit in Dubai to get it... I am gonna go for the 32" prolly... But I read some reviews stating that the picture was nearly identical to the M41... I can afford paying the difference but still, kinda make you think whether it's worth it or not.

I got the 40" one. Forgot the actual model number but its the one with the silver bottom that is RECTANGULAR and not TRIANGULAR. 8ms response time vs. 12 ms. for the triangular one.

Get it from Eros. I know Javed, the salesguy there in Emirates Mall. If you want I can go with you to get it...

great... But like I said it all depends on whether I actually stay more than a few days in Dubai before being sent to another country again
