A Lively Mind, the second artist album from Paul Oakenfold—perhaps the most important figure in modern club culture—is a passionate, up-tempo, electronic adventure. Continuing a tradition of employing unique vocalists, Oakenfold enlisted actress Brittany Murphy (8 Mile, Sin City) for lead track "Faster Kill Pussycat" plus modern hip-hop great Pharrell Williams, hip-hop living legend Grandmaster Flash and others. But it is Oakenfold’s dance/crossover genius at the heart of A Lively Mind.
1. Faster Kill Pussycat -- Featuring Brittany Murphy
2. No Compromise -- Featuring Spitfire
3. Sex 'N' Money -- Featuring Pharrell Williams
4. Switch On -- Featuring Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic Amsterdam
5. Set It Off -- Featuring Grandmaster Flash
6. The Way I Feel -- Featuring Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic
7. Praise The Lord
8. Save The Last Trance For Me
9. Not Over -- Featuring Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic
10. Vulnerable -- Featuring Bad Apples
11. Feed Your Mind -- Featuring Spitfire

This great album was released on 6th June, features video Murphy singing "Faster Kill Pussycat" looking really hot with amazing tunes from Paul. My cat went "grrr" after watching the video. This CD is worth the money my fav tracks are Faster Kill Pussycat, Vulnerable, "The way I feel", "Feed your mind" & Save the last trance for me.

My Rating - 8.5/10 (Very good)

um I know everyone is entitled to an opinion but if you think this CD is really good, well... nevermind...

anyway Oakenfold died for me after the Global Underground vol 7 CD. Oakey in NY. This was not only Oakenfold at his ultimate best, but also considered as the best Global Underground CD period. Tranceport was quite good too, but not in the same league as GU7.

Too bad he decided to go into the dreaded world of commercial trance...
