hi Folks,

I read a lot that Etisalat blocks Skype to Phone connections but I didn't really find about Skype to Skype connections. So can I talk from Skype to Skype?

Etisalat have blocked all the VoIP internet sites, so it is not possible to get access or download the software unless you are in CIC or DMC, or you have a route around the proxy.

If you have the software already on your PC, then it connects and you are able to talk Skype user to Skype user.

They have blocked the official skype website, but you can still download and use skype. Go here...

It's very easy to bypass the Etisalat proxy... PM me if you want to know more

Bypassing proxy can be done through tunneling. Changing proxy ports is unsecure and a lengthy trial and error exercise.

Well as you havent been here for much more than 5 minutes Venice i will explain.

A while ago a list of portals was posted here, and the following day they were all blocked by Etisalat.

This was not a coinsidence.

If you want to post something constructive to help others out please do, otherwise it would probably be best to keep your attempt at humour to yourself.

I did try to help people out to get skype. The link I posted up top is still active, so whatever.

And whats wrong with expressing humor? You do it all the time.

This is a serious problem in a serious forum, and for the protection of other forumers in able to use bypassing proxies was the reason for my post.

I dont see any humour there.

There is a time and a place for such.
