i had a talk yesterday with smbody about arab traditions and dishes and etc. now everybody knows that u guys don t eat pork. and that there is another kind of meat that is in the menu of every arab, much more often than for the west.
my question is(if im well informed), why u eat only the ram, but not the sheep?
is there some similar type of explanation as for not eating pork?
and the second thing about eating- there is nothing we remember so well and so dearly from home - no matter how long we left it -than the traditional dishes of our homeland, the smells, the taste of certain foods. and whenever we visit a country, local food and cooking r always an interesting thing to talk about.
so what is the most shocking or desgusting thing u had to eat, or were offered to eat? or what home dish u and ur ppl love to eat, but it would bring horror to others?
i remeber seeing a documentary movie about different shocking menus. in italy there is a kind of cheese that is eaten out again and again by small white warms. basicly they eat the interior of the cheese, than sh.t it out and eat than again. this goes one and one, and when they r done with the whole(inside the cheese), ppl cut the upper part of the cheese and eat the werms and their doo-doo with some sort of a biscuit.
