You'd be amazed but i did find . In Qussais and near Safa park. The one near Safa park was a flat in a villa.

But i just wanted more options. This is why i posted here.

Lamcy Plaza area used to be reasonably good value. I don't know what the prices are like now but it may be worth a try.

The Golden Sands area has a handful of cheaper buildings.

Karama might be a possibility too but is not such an appealing area to live.

Al Ghusais is cheaper but you're barely living in Dubai and will be fighting with traffic whenever you want to go anywhere.

Safa park area is good. If you find something there, you're doing well.

Thanks for the reply sharewadi. I also thought about Lamcy Plaza so probably today or tomorrow will go check it out. I just called an agent today for an add i found on the internet. 2 Rooms (something like a 1B/R and a living room) with separate bathroom and kitchen in Jumeirah, sea side with 2000 PER MONTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But he told me just 30 minutes before i called someone booked them . IMAGINE !!!!!

anyway i believe that we will find something good in the end.

If you find something almost good, take it. Good places aren't on the market very long - as you've discovered...

Not studios . What i found where flats with 1 B/R , 1 living room kitchen and bathroom. THe one in al qussais is behind emirates driving institute and the one in Safa was in a villa, separate entrance also. But his one i called earlier today and was not available anymore.

You know Arnie the rental market is crazy - Few examples:

Good bldg with S/P and Gym - very spacious rooms -

Studio 22 K
1-br 30K
2-br 42 K

Where in Ajman you ask? Its in Bur Dubai central location Mankhool.

Another example

2-br 55K
3-br 75 K

Similar building as above - same area

There are several others also, there are landlords who are not increasing rents but then tenants are subletting their properties (hey I am a capitalist - so don't think its wrong!)

If someone really looks hard and manages to befriend a real estate guy + pay the key money you will find. I just got a 3-br for a friend at 75K Bur Dubai and a 2-br for 65 K Bur Dubai.
