Hi guys,

I haven't moved to UAE yet, but sometimes I get so dissapointed with so many bad comments about Dubai, that I wonder why most of you are there if it seems like you hate it. If you hate or dislike Dubai why are you still there?. I know there is no perfect country, and inmigrants or expats always tend to critize since they are always expecting the new country to be perfect. Still, It just makes me wonder...or are you looking to go somewhere??

I have a good job , schools for my kids, house, the ability to travel , no tax

The bottom line is MONEY.
Yes, Dubai has many good points: weather, beaches, shopping, low crime. But I can think of many other places in the world that I would prefer to live. Dubai was very low ranked on a recent list of best places to live (183rd?), which I think was a bit harsh, but it is not as great as the local propaganda keep telling themselves.
The thing that you need to ask yourself is:
Will I be earning a significantly higher amount of money than elsewhere. Because you will need it to make life here enjoyable.
I love dubai, but who said you can't buy love?
