What are the differences in the different syllabus avaiable in Dubai Schools?

The ones that I have to choose from are:
A Levels
ICSE (Indian)
IB

A level - UK senior secondary school qualification for University entrance, 2 year course.

ICSE - don't know, probably not suitable if looking at entry to western university

IB - international university entrance course. Broader than A-level (6 subjects instead of 3). Intended for international schools but some local curriculum schools also implement it, especially in USA and UK. Accepted in most countries as qualification for university entry. Can study in English, French, Spanish but I think all IB schools in Dubai offer it only in English.

Update to the ICSE in Dubai: a new school (GIIS) just announced last week they would offer ICSE and IB. Opening April 2010 but only to grade 6 at first I think. JSS also considering ICSE next year. At present only Dubai MHS offers ICSE.

ICSE is mostly for Indians as it doesnt cover too much. The indian students are not very good in English as starters so its hard for them to keepup (sometimes)

PTLLS is a Premium course which is now available in dubai. It is first stage of a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) in Lifelong learning sector. PTLLS offers a comprehensive outline to the role and responsibilities of the teacher, tutor or trainer. PTLLS is a relatively new program which will replace the popular CIEH Professional Trainer Certificate (PTC)I in near future.

Al Ain University has an English Language Center where students can enroll to enhance their English Language Skills. It is also accredited as a Testing Center for TOEFL and IELTs .
