From LLC To Freezone - Does Any Ban Apply On It???

Hi, I have been working for an Exchange company located in Abu Dhabi for about 8 years, my contract is 'Limited' with having Dubai employment Visa (company has offices in Dubai as well). Now I have got an offer from a Freezone company in Dubai but I was told that once my visa is cancelled from exchange company, I will have an Immigration ban for 1 year (only for leaving the company ). Can you please confirm if that will be applicable on me and if it happens, is there any way to lift it off?
