Hi. I am just about to move into one of the villas in JVT. I have noticed it is not a gated community like springs/Arabian ranches etc.
Does any one know if there are plans to have security on this site?

What are you afraid of?

I have to traval a lot with my job and I will be leaving my wife and daughter here in Dubai when i go. My wife has asked the question will they be safe living in JVT if it not a gated community.

Once we have made a few friends within the JVT community I guess it wont be too bad, but just wanted to put my wifes mind at rest.

Is there a JVT community forum do you know??

I know a few people who live in JVT, they have no issues. To be honest even if it's not a gated community - which means nothing, given that there have been break-ins in the Springs etc - in Dubai in general you feel a lot safer than you would in other countries.

Chocoholic , I have lived in some awful countries in the past, and I do admit I personnaly have never felt thretened at all while I have been here. I need to convince my wife, who has never lived over seas before, that she and my family will be safe whilst I am away.

I'm sure once we make new friends here in Dubai she will be fine.

Taffymanc , She'll be fine I'm sure, it is indeed a much safer place than many countries. JVT is nice. I do seem to recall that there is security there, they just haven't gated it yet.

Thanks for that im sure she will forget all about safety once sge hits the malls and the various shoe shops!!!
