Accommodation ? Apr 19, 2006
I have been given an allowance for accommodation of 93 000.

What quality of accommodation will that give me ?
It will be for a family of four. ( 2 adults 2 children.)
What are the better areas for expats and does thid kind of budget suit ?

Cheers.

It depends what you are looking for ie an apartment or a house and what area. If you are looking for a villa you'll be looking at an older villa and your best bet maybe driving around and looking-there seems to be quite a few vacant ones in the Umm Sequiem/ Jumeirah area- and do a bit of door knocking. I think you may need to have about 10 000 more but then again it is not unheard of to get a villa for the amount you are talking about. If you want something more stylish you will need a bigger budget or an apartment. Apartment living usually includes a pool and gym facilities and I've done this with three young kids and it is more than fine. Another thing is that Dubai has great parks, beaches and malls so apartment living won't send you stir crazy.
