G'day folks,
It's good to be back after such a long time
But anyways, anyone with a sharp eye would have noticed this with me, but chains such as Carrefour and Hyperpanda have been cutting down on the packers who stand at the end of each counter. If I can recall, I noticed the drop sometime last year, but I was really astonished today when I went to Hyperpanda(DFC) and say that barely anyone was packing!

What is your take on this? Personally, I am OK with this move as it makes us(the shoppers) feel a little less lazy towards the end - but this also can increase the load on the cashiers as well!

You can pack yourself if you want to take some load off the cashiers.

In some EU parts they don't even give you plastic bags for free.

Andyba , Yeah I kept that in mind when I went to France, etc. I just bought those reusable environmentally friendly bags. The UAE had yet to learn from them as here they hand out plastic bags as if they were handing out brochures! One item = 1 bag!
