How I hope Man United will be in the same group as Ajax in the Champions League. We will see this week. Man United? 300-400 millions in debt...
Last weekend I saw Arsenal fans demanding "spend, spend, spend", after a disappointed first match of the season. Thats modern football apparently, if your team looses, demand to buy more/better players, instead of prefering your own youth. My preference will always go to the local kid, who grew up in the city and played on the local parking lots, instead of buying.

Flying Dutchman unfortunatley just like everything football too has become a multi billion pound industry... the bigger the name the better the supporters.



i however have been a united fan for many many many years... robson time.. i would love to see united and every other team pick up youths from there home town but this is a dream which will never happen.

as a supporter i couldnt care less how much debt there in.. if they win and play football thats all i wanna see...

That is were we differ. I go to the stadium to see good football (and the atmosphere). Of course you hope your team wins. But for Dutch supporterd attractive football comes first. If the team wins with bad football, supporters will not be happy. That is the love for the game. Love for the game comes first, love for the team second.
I love seeing PL games, as the level is higher than here in Holland. I can understand teams with big money behind them. That is part of the big businnes. But I cannot stand teams that are practically bankrupt and keep on buying expensive players. Think Real Madrid, taking out extra loans (which are paid by the European tax payer, but that is another story) for new players, while being in a huge debt already. That eventually will bring the game down. I would love to see Ronaldo play, but refuse to spend money on Real Madrid.

Nice one flying dutchman true football is a game that everyone needs to enjoy.. the talent is with the players.. but its all about big buckss.

and if United do loose hey its a game if they play well who cares and yeah i would like to se then=m win everytime but it aint going to happen...
