Naseem Hamed — the only person to have ever totalled a $450k Mercedes SLR — pleaded guilty to dangerous driving in connection with a massive crash that took place last year, reports the Telegraph. Hamed’s Mercedes was wrecked when he tried passing a car on a busy city street. He struck a 38-year-old Anthony Burgin’s Volkwagen Golf head-on, completely destroying the compact car. Hamed was uninjured, but Burgin was left with fractures to “every major bone in his body.” There are reports that Hamed fled the scene, but the Telegraph article makes no mention of that. Hamed could receive a short jail sentence for the incident, but that portion of the trial has yet to unfold.
