Hi All,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question so apologies in advance if it is, and any help to where the post should go would be great. If this is right place, here we go...

I've got a friend who's an Eqyptian Citizen, who's been offered a job in Dubai. When he told me this, I was worried that he wasn't going to be able to send money home as I was told by foriegn exchange company that Egyptian (and apparently Syrian) nationals weren't allowed to transfer funds directly from the UAE, but had to transfer them first to a foriegn exchange company in the UK who could do the transfer to Egypt.

My question is, is this true? or is it the FX company here in the UK just trying to get more business?

Not true, By Western Union you can easily transfer money anywhere.

I know there's a lot of companies in dubai (including western union) but is there a restriction if he has an Egyptian passport and wants to send a transfer to a bank account in Egypt?
