Yet another real estate scam - this could happen to any one renting in Dubai.

A realestate agent rents out an appartment. 6 months later the appartment owner claims he was not authorised to lease the property.

It's just too easy for honest people to lose their money.

Renters should consider renting from the owner only, as long as they make sure it is the owner.

If you rent the property ask always about term of buisiness signed by the landlord, most of the agencies request it from the landlord before listing the property. This from authorize the agent to advertise the unit, so you will be sure the landlord gave permission to rent it out.
