Ajax V Manchester City Oct 24, 2012
Tonight is the night of the Champions League match between Ajax and City.

Its on Sky Sports 2 at 7pm.

City'a allocation of tickets are sold out but I believe the stadium isn't.

The return leg is on November 6 at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Tickets are available from £35.00.

Will anyone else be watching?

C'mon Citeh :D

I will be there BM in the stadium. I am rooting for Ajax though. I am behind the left goal post, making Joe nervous all the time (well only 45 minutes of course)!

Oh I am so envious FD! I'll watch out for you, I guess you will be one of those in orange.

BTW all the action will be at the other end. Joe won't be busy. :P

I could be eating these words tomorrow.

You may well be right Norrie. In a couple of hours the results will be in. Man City have some fantastic players but sometimes we don't come together as a team. Ajax have a young team and I think their coaching staff could show the players a thing or two on the pitch.

I hope it is a good match. I'm so envious of FD. :D

Well I wouldn't say we were murdered but the best team, on the night, won.

I've always said you need to be made of steel to be a City supporter.

What a game! Ajax played very well! I saw a lot of Cruyffian influences that I have not seen in some time. But what happened to City? They played like they just had a ful plate of pasta minutes before the game. Or did they go party in Amsterdam before the game?

The angels were singing.

Rematch in two weeks...

Was it another planned power cut? City were poor Sage, as FD pointed out, they played like a bunch of fat Italians

Will Mancini have to go? He doesnot seem to do well with European football. Or will he need another 200m to reach the 1/8? And another 300m to reach the QF?

Mancini does like to tinker with the team so that sometimes they don't know whether they are coming or going. I think there may have been some very unhappy players in the dressing room last night.
He gave a very strange interview after the match saying that it was his fault and that they didn't prepare enough before the game.
If I were him I'd watch myself. I don't think Sheikh Mansour will be very impressed. For the amount of money he has invested, and the quality of individual players, City should be cleaning up in Europe.
So far they haven't been that good in the Premiership. You can't afford to drop points like they are doing at the moment. A rocky start, but they may pull it off yet.

I always hoped we would see Mourinho as City manager. Maybe in the future, eh?

BMreformed ,

I have no idea if it was planned or not, I do know it was 4 hours long though. We had another 4 hour cut today, was a real pain on the project.

Sky News reports this morning that there are a number of players in revolt against Mancini. I fear a rocky road ahead!

I have a feeling this already started earlier. The way they played, after 10 minutes in the game I already thought something is very wrong inside the team. I hope City will find themselves (but only after 6th of Nov of course).
