Fans run riot after abandonment - Gawahati india Apr 09, 2006
GUWAHATI, India (Reuters) - Police fired tear gas to disperse violent spectators after bad weather forced the fifth one-dayer between India and England to be abandoned without a ball being bowled on Sunday.

Missiles were thrown on to the pitch, advertising hoardings set on fire and policemen attacked with water bottles and bamboo poles :shock: after play was called off due to overnight rain and poor ground conditions

As the situation escalates a section of Indian fans start to break through fences in an attempt to enter the playing area

Following the announcement there are ugly scenes as a section of fans start to set fire to advertising hoardings

Three policemen are among at least 12 people who are injured in the disturbing scenes in Guwahati

Indian crowds sucks big time especially when they lose the match or something go against their will. How ugly the indian police men are :P
I bet none of the indian police man has 6 pack ( in entire india), it seems as their pants are going to fall :P

Poker nations cup was on recently...6 nations (ireland, UK, USA, Denmark, Germany & Swedan)...Brilliant TV!!

UK won though :cry: we came in 3rd...Deutschland 2nd...

Why only cricket...Cricket is followed like a religion in india, pakistan and near by countries...people fight all over the world over games...soccer for that matter...the concept of soccer hooligans is so stupid in itself...so irrespective of any game i think rioting is stupid....
