Obtaining Police Records Oct 16, 2012
Hey everyone,

Forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong category but wasn't exactly sure where to post it.
I'm a UK expat, been living in Dubai 4+ years. I recently married a US Citizen who still lives in the US. We're processing my US spouse visa and I need to have a certificate from the police stating good behaviour/clean record etc.
I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this process and has any hints or advice about how to go about it. From what I understand the Certificate of Good Behaviour is valid for 3 months when issued by Dubai police. Where exactly would I go to get this? And is there issues with getting the certificate translated into English?
I know sometimes things are not exactly straightforward when it comes to paperwork in this country so I want to make sure it all goes smoothly!
Hope some of you can help!
Regards,
Daflares

My parents needed a certificate of good conduct for their Aussie visas. You need to go to probably the main police station and apply for it. They will offer to send it to you, but that can take literally weeks, it's better to go and collect it when it's ready.

Hi Daflares,

For your translation requirements try Diamond Legal Translation. I have used them many times without any problems.
