Hi,

I am to get a good savings account and have come across some banks like National Bank of Abu Dhabi, HSBC, CITIbank, Dubai Bank and Barclays. I am looking for an account for my husband. Just wanted to know about the experience everyone here has with these banks. This will help me finalize one

There is nothing such as a good savings account. Interest rates are rubbish. We are in a world recession.

I would recommend investing your money in Emaar, Nakheel or Dubai Property ventures. At least you know you will be being ripped off from the start.

If you want to be robbed by the banks then I would suggest HSBC who are at least pleasant will ripping you off.

ADCB Islamic divivision has good rates for saving. Around 3% pa.

Don't bother with savings accounts. Personally either open an offshore account OR buy National Bonds, very easy to do and the returns are better than any bank would give you. www.nationalbonds.ae
