Probably one of Dubai's best kept secrets. Out on the Al Ain highway, in the middle of a nature reserve - this is the most stunning place I've ever stayed at. You have individual suites with your own private pool. Loads of activities, we did camel riding, falconry and I had a wonderful time cantering across the desert plains at sunrise whilst horse riding - just magic.

And the food? OMG - truly fine dining at its best.

One thing I really loved about this place is that you can tell they spend a lot of time training all the staff, as you feel like every service is completely personal.

If you ever get the chance to go, then do.

It truly is a stunning place. Ok, it's pricey, but well worth it as a treat and they do have special offers now and then.

The horses are all ex-racers given by the Sheikhs, so they're defo not for beginenrs and are all a bit mental made the ride interesting lol

LOL they gave me the stable 'machine', the mare wouldn't stand still for one second! But I always like the more interesting horses, they make it more fun, even if you have to work a bit.

Did you have a sore bum afterwards?

A sore everything is more like it! But it was great fun. I miss riding terribly.
