Hi, I need a little help from you guys. I want to sponsor my 1 and half yr old daughter which is an illegitimate child. But she is carrying my Surname and it was mentioned on her Birth Certificate. I want to know if it is possible that I can sponsor her and applied for a Fathers Visa? What are the requirements? Her Mother is working here in dubai and willing to provide any supporting documents or special power of attorney. I just want a clear answer and possible solution.

Well as her father you can indeed sponsor her. I found this infor for British expats sponsoring family members, I would assume it's mostly the same for other nationalities:

Thanks Chocoholic for the info. But I am not married with the mother of my child. In the info it was mentioned that I need to provide a marriage certificate which I doesn't have. The Mother of my child is working here in dubai and her salary was not fit for the requirements on applying the sponsorship. I can sponsor my child as per required salary but the problem is the supporting documents needed, since we are not married.

Does your company have a PRO who can deal with this for you? Or provide the relevant information? If not, then I thin you need to put a call into immigration regarding it.
