Thanks for the photos. I wonder what he did to get that much maginification, I'm using the same lens. And the insect is probably dead, you have to get real close to get a bigger magification, which is very difficult with live one.

The insects are not dead, alive Nucleus, that's what at least Ondrej Pakan says; quote: "I get soaked waiting for the rain to finish, but it all seems worth it when you get really great shots of the insects with drops on them."

Thanks for the video. Now I know what i need to do to get bigger magification.


Here is a quick test without and with extention tube (magnification is still not as big as in those photos, maybe they are using 3 extension tubes):


Tooth brush maybe a wee bit gross, but that the closest thing available to do a quick test.

One more thing, auto features doesn't work correctly with the extension tube, so it is full manual mode.
