I was browsing another topic and saw that Nucleus posted, 'Just ignore him, he's special'.
It got me wondering about how other people treat other unfortunate people with special needs in other cultures and countries. Do you ignore them, as Nucleus suggests?
In the UK we try to try to treat people with special needs with care and consideration and intergrate them into society as much as possible. I realise this may not be the case with other cultures and that people who others do not consider 'normal', what ever that is, may be kept out of sight as they are an embarrassment to their families.
I always think it is very sad when people mock the afflicted.
There, for the grace of God, go I.
