But upon my return to DF I don't seem to recognize anyone but Chocs! Mind you, I only ever visit or post in "General"..

The 'scoop' please...

Same here only check in when I'm either in Dubai or planning a trip. I read in one post FD got banned but what happened to BM? Her posts where quiet amusing if a little boastful.

I suppose. She was suspended before, so this time probably got a permanent ban. But it may not be permanent in the long term, but she has come back again in new accounts and did things which she was banned for. So chances of lifting her ban are very slim.

Welcome back BB, I didn't see any of it, but then I am not on that much either.

sage & onion, She posted my actual name and photos from my facebook account, the same with Kanelli and just got really abusive and nasty with several other members, making threats as she always does. She's tried to come back with 4 or 5 different usernames, but has been spotted instantly and banned instantly. She's permantly banned and needs to take the hint that Andy doesn't want her here anymore.

I don't know, but BM strikes me as a smart person with a sense of humor so it may be that 'he who last laughs'...

Obviously I draw the line on 'personal' stuff... (those who 'know' me from almost 1000 posts - - understand what I mean ).

Those who were banned chose to post people's private info on the forum and/or racist and and Islamphobic insults and propaganda. They had received previous suspensions for their conduct, yet still chose to behave in an abusive way. The post report button and Andyba's PM button are there for a reason. When abuse is posted, it is up to members to report it.

kanelli , agreed, yet some members seem to think you're in the wrong if you do report abuse.

Personal stuff should be off limits but I don't see how racist or islamaphobic posts are 'bannable offenses' i rather see those posts than some 'nice' posts by racists and islamophobes - who 'clean' up to make 'forum friends'. The world is not just made up of 'nice' people.

Well Ambassador, are you implying that the rest of us are as racist and Islamophobic as those who were banned, and we are keeping a "clean" act just to make friends? Wow.

I suppose if you feel that way, and you really miss those who have been banned, you can all start your own forum where nothing is a bannable offense and everyone can indulge in whatever offensive behaviour they think is a good laugh.

Well, no I am not 'implying' anything Just posting my opinion

Of course there are racists and islamophobes in this forum - as in life - and they know who they are (not my job to point them out or insinuate who the are). To each its own...

Perhaps it is wishful thinking on your part that others have similar racist and Islamophobic views as those who were banned. We're just back to the old, "Awww come on! You are as bad as they are, but they just have the guts to voice their real opinions." Hooey.

Maybe it is just me but although sincerity is not a requirement to be a member of DF (or amongst the 'unbanned') I seem to recall Kanelly (perhaps more than once) 'leaving' the forum for good ansd even telling all remaining DF members to F---off. But I may just be mistaken. After all I only ever visit the General forum and in 'spurts' at that.

Anyways, ...

I think it was Chocs who once left and told everyone to F off. I come and go depending on if I'm annoyed, travelling, busy.

Look, I understand that you are upset that Andyba banned your friends. Finger pointing and blaming is pointless. If you miss them, meet up in person when you are all in Dubai, and if you like discussing pro-Israel, anti-Islamic topics as well as various racist and immigration topics, want to hear witty stories about what BM had for breakfast, or want to follow people from thread to thread to insult them for your own amusement, nothing is stopping you from starting your own forum which has no rules for conduct. You can even set the rule that no one is allowed to report other people's abusive behaviour. Sounds like a solution everyone can be happy with!
