Racist European Commission Ad Mar 07, 2012
Well yeh having watched the video I'd say lol but you know this is a very serious issue, the video isn't a production of some street gangs but the project of European commission.LOL. well we live in this day and age and Europe looks as if they never really learned from their disgraceful history.. It's such shame that they are still willing to profile people and advocate racism... hmm very thought provoking.

But in this video what I couldn't quite work out was why they only chose women to combat these racial worriers and why they are in skin suit and why those skin suits are in yellow colour? Anyone can help me? LOOOOOL...
Anyone could also explain why there is no white man doing martial art along with these stereotyped races?..

Yellow suits - a reference to Uma Thurman in Kill Bill perhaps?? (and the stars on the EU flag are yellow)

To be honest, I didn't find the video offensive - but rather quite clever. China, India and Brazil - rising economic powers, EU stronger together as a block. There was no actual fighting - and when they sat down, it was a positive message - at least in my mind. And sitting down - seemed to me like they were going to cooperate, not fight..

However, the PC (political correctness) brigade are very active these days and I guess they should have thought it may raise some issues.

I love the fact that you prefer to look at glass from the full side of it but what makes the Europeans feel that those rising nations are rising only to persecute Europeans? They must be day dreaming eh. May be it is a mirror effect of themselves, crumbling under it... Which rising rich nation does that black person represent?Africa is starving in most places. The one who holds the sword is the genie out of the bottle:) isn't he?.. well they too struggle with politics and poverty as well..:(

I wish European commission had the same guts to express themselves like you did.. That would give out better message than withdrawing the video, wouldn't it?.. By the way it is said that it cost around 127 K to produce..What a waste when greeks and others are prepared for poverty..

I hear what you are saying Berrin. ;)

The black person represented Brazil - he was doing the Brazilian martial art, Capoeira.

I'm just saying that I think it was well intentioned - but perhaps ill thought through. 127k for an ad is not a lot - but you're right, not the time to be producing these ads.

:) black people of Brazil only stands at about 6% of the total population;) which is kinda similar to the European population of black people ;), there you go that's how they profiled all Brazilians as black :o ,If I was a brazilian I'd kinda feel humiliated :x , but perhaps they think the white Brazilians will join forces on white racial brotherhood, only leaving back the black Brazilians fighting against Europeans :)

Anyhow by the look of the race of warriors, can we say that USA and Russia are never gonna be threat to Europe? LOL...
