Anarchists?

Perhaps they were Thursday night bowling buddies who decided to bomb London?

But I'm sure we'll hear "entrapment!" or "numpties!" in their defense.

Nevermind that other terrorists are arrested and charged using the same methods and were often in the planning stages of an attack.

Numpty or "entrapment" is only used in an excuse for a certain kind of terrorist.

Wonder which kind of terrorist is excused and why that would be....

Interestingly the article does not say that they have one thing in common: they are moslems.
It just says they were "inspired" by a Muslim leader. Common excuse like calling moslem terrorists "misunderstanders" of islam.
I hope they get the maximum sentence so they can't harm anybody anymore.

The anti terrorist squad uncovered their plot to leave a bomb in the London Stock Exchange at Christmas 2010. They were also followed to the London Eye, Westminster Abbey. Big Ben, the US Embassy, the home's of two rabbis and the home of the Mayor of London.

All nine men, who ranged in age from 19 to 28 at the time of the arrests, initially pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
But on Wednesday, as a jury trial was due to begin, the defendants switched their pleas. Four of the men -- Mohammed Chowdhury, Gurukanth Desai, Abdul Miah and Shah Rahman -- admitted to plotting to bomb the London Stock Exchange.

As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors accepted the four men's contention that the attack was meant to strike fear and incur economic losses, not to cause death and injury.

It is predicted that these 'British' men will receive a sentence of 12 years, which means they will be due for parole in 6. With the time spent on remand, they can expect to be released in five years.

What was interesting was an interview with one of the men which was filmed in 2008 where he said that his 'fellow' Brits should not fear Muslims.

Terrorists planned to plant bombs in city pubs

THREE terrorists from Stoke-on-Trent plotted al-Qaida-inspired bomb attacks on pubs and clubs in the Potteries.

Usman Khan, Mohammed Shahjahan and Nazam Hussain, wanted to bring terror to their home city by placing homemade timebombs in pub toilets.

They also planned to send at least one of their number to terror training camps in Pakistan.

A fourth man from Stoke-on-Trent, Mohibur Rahman, was found in possession of a terrorist magazine containing a bomb recipe.

The four were part of a wider terror network, which included four others who were planning to bomb the London Stock Exchange.

Nine men involved in the network were arrested in police raids in December 2010....
