I never knew what was meant by it, empty eyes. I have never seen it before, but recently I saw somebody with empty eyes with this glassy stare. It might sound exaggerated, but it was haunting. What do empty eyes signify? A broken soul? I don't know.

Tintinnabulum! it may be a made up language but what a fantastic name for an out of this world song, Karl Jenkins deserves a revisit every now and then and Adiemus is as good as he gets.

Flying Dutchman , Well you live and learn! I always thought REM sang this cover of the song, Gary Jules sounds so much like Michael Stipe it's uncanny!

This touches me everytime. For a long time I was kind of put off by George Michael. Probably because of this Wham period. With this song he shows what a true artist he is.

Last week Panama in Amsterdam was closed down. I have many fun and good memories there. Panama was an icon. Bands performing and always a relaxed atmosphere with cool (alternative) people. I'll miss the place. One of the last performances:





An uncle died recently. This was the song on the funeral. I didn't know him that well. he was a diplomat and has seen the world and lived life. Afterwards I heard many stories where he helped people around him, but never took credit for it. A remarkable man, and I feel kind of sorry I didn't know him so well. He was different, and certainly did it his way.

Feeling nostalgic today for "the old days". You know when streets were for playing, you could wonder around the city the whole day and fair sharing was done without question. On Sunday you would climb in a tree to see your local football hero's play. You had a big mouth against the police as a kid, and the police just laughed it off.

Recently I noticed a generation gap when a pub was closing, lights went bright and an old classic was put on max. Half knew all the words and shouted along, the other half just stood there amazed, having no idea what this was about.

It's about a young kid. I could only sing half way, I had to explain my wet eyes away with saying I just had a very strong fisherman's friends. It's from an old movie and recently made a musical from it. The rat:
