I know many Arab Muslim girls who married non Arab Mulsim men (American, Canadian, Italian, French and British men) and I noticed that they are very happy and live very healthy married lives.. and most of them say that this was the best choice they made.

I'm very interested in this subejct. Anyone agree, or care to discuss?

Men and women from any part of the globe, have the same anatomy and physiology , fundamentally each s3x is responsive to certain characteristics, there might be some social conditioning that might get in the way. IMHO

Who are we to judge, if they wanted it and are happy then thats all that matters

I don't think it has anything to do with whether you are muslim or arab or not, it's who you are atrtacted to. Also don't forget the men would have to convert to marry the girls, they might not have been muslim originally.

I really have no comment regarding this topic, except that I really dislike this misleading & very common misconception term of "Arab Muslim". I just want to punch that guy who came up with this SUPER STUPID term!

True but it comes because the simple fact is or was that the majority of Arabs were Muslim.

"symmetric" just like "Chocoholic" said the majority of Arabs are Muslims thats probably why this "Arab Muslim" term was invented.. but that does not mean that Non-Arab Muslims are any less.. No infact I really beleive that Non-Arab Muslims especially those who joined islam after being Christian or any other religion are far better in their comitment to Islam than Arabs who were born Muslims.. I say this with a heavy heart but its the truth.. and beleive me if I had the chance I would marry a non-Arab too hehehe

Well Zubber, most girls imagine their "soul mates" or "the perfect guy" since they are in their teens and we keep building up that person in our heads until its impossible to find someone so perfect, and we all know that these days "the perfect guy or girl" is an urban myth, right!
I guess what I would want now is a responsible and kind man, one who treats me with respect, takes care of me, shares a life with me..
Unfortunately I don't see those qualities available in most Arab men, at least not in the men from Sudan (where I'm from originally from).
I've seen bad examples all around me and I really try hard to believe that not all men are bad.. One of my sisters was badly mistreated by her husband just cuz he felt like it.. Just cuz he know that she loves him and will do anything make him happy.. all of a sudden she found herself middle aged and divorced..
Now my best friend had a more dramatic story, she was beaten by her husband whenever he felt upset or pressured.. Even though they shared a beautiful baby girl…The worst part is that they all had such great love stories!
I know nothing in life is guaranteed, but why bother to fall in love or get married when that decision might be the worse decision you ever made!

AmerikySbirit , Perhaps you are disheartened based on the experiences you have had, but that not necessarily means, all of them are like that, And as you have already stated it is impossible to speculate about the future,

Sometimes when one is embittered , they chose to view things in a biased manner, which unfortunately is far far away from reality, perhaps you should be more objective in your assessment of your mates,

Um okay I'm gonna clear a few things up here.
Firstly, an Arab is not always Muslim.
Secondly, a Muslim is not always practicing.
Thirdly Islamic law says Muslims are to marry Muslims only. There is an exception for Muslim men to take Christian and Jewish wives but they must be chaste and according to Fiqh law they must be from Islamic states.

The Muslim girls you said who marry outside their religion obviously were not brought up Muslim, or they just aren't Muslim in general. You need to differenciate who and what is a Muslim.

Personally I don't think religion or any other factors should have an impact who a persona falls in love with and wants to marry.

Chocoholic , But they do Chocs. People don't always marry for love. Sometimes people do what their families want and end up making a better job of it than if they were in love.

Different backgrounds means long talks on what the future holds for the couple. Religion, nationality, parents ... are the few things that could mess up and create a spiral unhappiness in couples. Long talks ..... is the answer At least, I hope that is what Dr Phil would have said.

Most arabs are not muslims, it is stereotyping. Most muslims are probably asians, Pakistan, India, and Indonasia have are the most populous muslim communities. Muslim population in India is more than 300million that is more the population of all Arab countries combined.

All of the Arabs I've come across are Muslim.

All the Malaysians I've come across are Muslim.

I used to live in Singapore. I was a child and didn't know anything about religion then. Everybody was the same to me except that some had slitty eyes and others didn't.

All the Jews I've come across are Jewish.

FD - from the context of Nucleus' post - I think he meant to write 'Most Muslims aren't Arab... ' the rest of the post then makes much more sense.

Nucleus - Malaysia has a sizeable non-Muslim population made up of the Chinese Malaysians, as opposed to the Malay Malaysians. Most Malays are indeed Muslim.

As for all Jews being Jewish - that's an interesting point Bora (I know you meant it in jest) - but if one looks at the demographics and work out how many of the 12 tribes of Israel there must be today, you'll find that those who still follow the Jewish faith are in a minority. Most of the descendants of the 12 tribes - those who are genetically/ethnically Jewish and would pass the Israeli tests for being Jewish genetically - are probably not of the Jewish faith. Some are Christian converts and their descendants, many are Muslim converts and their descendants.

Just going by the statistics.

I would say most Jews are secular, but keep some traditions, not sure though.

I'd say the Children of Israel - the descendants of the 12 tribes of Israel, the sons of Jacob - are a genealogical group.

IIRC, DNA studies show that most Palestinian Arabs also share the genes with Israelites.

My words, as you've quoted them, are quite clear - I've said that only the minority of the descendants of the 12 tribes are today 'of the Jewish faith'. Secular Jews are included in this - they are just non-practicing Jews - I'm specifically contrasting this with the numbers who are converts to other religions.

As I stated in the other thread - I agree with Professor Porath and dismiss both the Arab myths and Zionist myths. I'm sure I said that a few times at least.
