Well I think I'll call it exactly what I want, and that's a DF meet. There was no-one there that I had not met on DF

Probably not, but then why do we need to forum to keep in touch when we all know each other personally and either call, write, FB or visit one another?

'BM's minions of DF meet up' is more appropriate, because you see the difference between 'us' and 'you' is that we never discriminated against anyone on the forum, unlike you. People just went and all met up, because WE understand that how people behave or come across on here, probably isn't how they are in real life. After the big meet ups, then if they decided to go off and see others by themselves fine. But forum meet ups were always open to everyone, but hey I guess we're just more morally open than you.

You hand selected "several" people you have met on DF and had some drinky poos together, then you come to the forum to brag to everyone else here that you had a great time at your "DF meetup".

When some of us who met each other on DF got together independent of a "DF meetup", which we did frequently, we didn't come back to the forum to brag about our private get together. Why? Because it was a meetup with friends, not a "DF meetup". Of course you can call it what you want though.

To me it looks like a cry out to try to show that you are popular because a few hand selected people from DF were willing to meet up with you despite how much of an ass you are on this forum. Congrats anyway!

The person acting like a kid was you posting such a thread in the first place. Who else on this whole forum should care about your small hand-picked meet-up? Should all of the rest of those lurking and participating who weren't invited care what you and your clique get up to off-forum?

I read an interesting article recently which simply stated that those who constantly crow on about their lives and what they do are crying out for attention and come across as not very attractive. Far better to have others talk about you in a complimentary light, that to brag about it yourself.

I'll see if I can find the links for BM and BB, because clearly they could both do with having a read of it.

Errrrrr, you might want to take a look again Kanelli as to who posted the thread. Sounding a bit childish there not getting your facts straight and putting so much effort into something that doesn't bother you.

Chocs, since the "meet up" was handled incorrectly, and it should have been a public notice, and since you have been through it before, why don't you start a "DF Meet Up"? There are still people who haven't met each other and it would be an opportunity to meet others and it could be a starting point for more harmony on DF.

I didn't say "No one cared" I asked the question "Who should care?" Anyway, what was so entertaining about BM's story about the "DF meetup"? She didn't invite you, it was a handful of people, one or two wanted to remain anonymous. Nothing interesting at all.

Your info is false Ambassador. Whoever you were talking to must not have attended any of the old events or met any of the old-timers. I have no idea when the last meet was, maybe I had already moved by then. Anyhow, I've met Chocs many times, we attended many of the same DF meets. I was definitely at all the events including bowling, karaoke, Radisson, and go-karting. The ice skating event was run by my husband and I.

In fact, when I think of the people who attended, the vast majority are no longer on the forum. If they are still here, they are using new usernames.

Wow, I had no idea that Kan and Chocs would be so upset about the meet (the not being there part). It is interesting that Kan even pretends to know how many people were there.

Why are you such a b.itch Kanelli? Of course I'd invite FD, he's one of my favourites and the only reason he wasn't invited initially was because he was in Amsterdam. Besides, some people like to keep their private life seperate from their internet life and I totally respect that.

I don't live in Dubai, and I would never be invited by the clique anyway. BM, I'm happy for you that you have friends on here, but I have no interest in ever becoming your friend. I'm sure the feeling is mutual. The difference is that I'm not arrogant enough to claim that you are jealous of me.

Chocs and I only commented that a small hand-picked group, excluding everyone else on the forum, coming here to say they had a "DF Meetup" and gloat about how wonderful it was is childish and not technically a DF Meetup since it wasn't open to everyone.

It is a simple fact that an open DF Meetup likely would never happen because of the negative environment here and hateful views of some about others' backgrounds and religions. You guys know it and have to make private meetups for yourselves. Each to their own, and have a good time!
