I don't know if this affects any members. If you do have a car that you want to scrap, you need to know what it's worth so you know how much to ask for.

I got rid of an old fiat coupe recently that I didn't think was worth fixing. I have no idea what a scrap car is worth. I called a guy who left his card on my windscreen. He asked me how much I wanted for it and I said, I'll take 500. He seemed pretty excited by that, so maybe I could have asked for more. Anyway he kept calling me and telling me to take the plates off the car, take them to the RTA and get them cancelled so he could buy the car. When I did that he came out straight away and took the car.
