i am astounded by this review that we find in todays Gulf News.

http://gulfnews.com/life-style/food/bit ... a-1.840703

The hack goes with a British celebrity chef to find out the best Shawarma in Dubai, a very logical choice for an article, right?
Wrong, because the article is all about which "nationality makes the best shawarma" .

And they choose not Syrian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Jordanian and Indian makers as would be the sensible thing to do but instead base their review on 5 Indians, 1 Lebanese, 1 Turkish and then conclude, surprise , surprise, that " I think Arabs come on top because of the subtle spicing and dressing. As a complete package, it is much better. Definitely, Arabs are the best shawarma makers."

Wow, i am impressed, Arabs make the best Shawarma, because, maybe, Shawarma is an Arabic ethnic dish? I wouldnt expect Chinese chefs to make the best Fajitas, would I ?

He didn't go to that dodgy fella down the side street in Karama, he doesn't have a restaurant but 6 plastic chairs on the path. Now he makes the best Shawarma. I'm not sure where he's from, maybe India.

The best pasta I had wasn't made by Italians.
