Well the Euro Millions lottery had another roll over this week and the estimated jackpot now stands at £154m.
I can't imagine winning that sort of money! Just what would you do with it all?
I think I'd want to keep it secret, I'd be frightened someone would come and kidnap my beautiful Beth
Having said that, they'd probably pay me to take her back, I'm afraid she's turning out to be her mother's daughter

Now what would I do with all that dosh? Well, I'd sort my family out, there's not many of them so that wouldn't take much. I'd buy myself a nice big house, although I can't think of anywhere I'd rather live, than where I do now. Maybe I could do it up and build a big extension?
I'd have myself an X6, and a Range Rover, and I'd buy Beth a BMW 6 series convertible for her Facebook picture!
I don't know if I'd tell my employers to stick it, I like my job and can't imagine not working. I've always fancied a florists shop, but I'm not arty and I don't like the cold, which you need for flowers.
I think I'd be better off not winning, it would cause too much hassle.

The most I'd ever won was a set of weighing scales in the squadron bar in 197something and I was frightened to own up to it being my number as I would have had to run tha gaunlet of drunken squaddies to collect them and they would have made me weigh myself
Then, in 1984 or thereabouts I won a car in the Sergeants Mess! It was a beige Talbot Samba. I thought I was the business! Of course it was sold the very next day, I drove a Ford Cortina Ghia (with a black vinyl roof) at the time and wouldn't been seen dead in a Talbot Samba.

So...what have you won and what could you do with £154m?

Money isn't everything. Plus who cares - it's the 'Euro' millions. Here we have National Bonds, which are the same idea as Premium Bonds and pretty good actually. Although no I think your name has to be something like Fatima Mahmoud to be able to win something.

I would give to an educational charity to give everyone a decent start in life.

I would also bribe a UAE official so I could moderate spelling and grammar officially on this forum, and for those who dropped below my expectations, be allowed to taze them at the public square on a Friday.

You are right money isn't everything but I'm sure it makes life a hell of a lot easier. I am reminded of Dillon's saying about a certain kind of sandwich. Well I'm sure he can tell it a lot better than me.

Well Ambassador, my geography isn't too bad, but I'm ashamed to say I had no idea where Papua New Guinea was, so I googled it. It's not that far from Aus, I see.
I've no idea why eggs are so expensive there. Are we talking normal hens eggs or more specialised eggs, like duck or geese? They are huge and the thought of eating one makes me gag.

No, but BM constantly refers pretty much everything to the UK, which has zero to do with here. Plus she constantly blows hot air about her - not so interesting - daily life. The reason why? She doesn't live here, so has virtually zero to talk about when it comes to the UAE.

The jackpot is up to £166m I believe. You'd be able to buy the Palm with that little lot. If there is anybody on DF who would like me to buy them a ticket, just let me know. I can't promise I'd part with your winnings, but the thought is there.

Well 2.5% of anything is better than nothing! I purchased two lucky dips tonight, but I don't feel any richer so I'm not holding out any hope. I may be luckier with the office bonus ball roll over which is up to £103. I have a one in twenty chance of winning that. I can't work out the odds for that.

It's just been anounced on the news that the £166m has been won, but no indication of where the ticket was purchased.

If I've won it, I'll have a party for everyone on DF! Well, nearly everyone! You can come, munchkin! I'm always up for a laugh
