So we just finished unpacking all 296 boxes that we relocated from Dubai, plus the 9 that we air freighted. And lo and behold...the only thing broken is one martini glass. Pretty impressive, and very surprising. We used a local company called DASA vs. one of the big international movers, and I am defo going to let them know how well they did. I am absolutely shocked that not more items were broken. Our stuff was packed and loaded in Mirdif, shipped to Brisbane, unpacked for customs/quarantine, repacked and transferred to the storage depot, unpacked and reloaded during the floods, then loaded and shipped to the Gold Coast where we are living. I think we were due for more breakage than we had. Hats off to a job well done!

Was all the packing and repacking done by the same people ? If so, pretty impressive by all means. What wbout other things like scuffs and scratches on your stuff ?

And finally 296 boxes for just the two of you !!!

What kind of stuff???? When we moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom, I don't think I had 50 boxes!!!

OK then how about... er... not so much stuff then, but packed in lots of boxes so the neighbours thought they in fact had ... Lots of stuff?

I think it was mostly DD's AV gear, but still over 300 boxes !!! How much gear, did you pack up pinewood studios ??

You would be correct.^

We had 2 of everything it seems...2 fridges, 2 lounge suites, 2 dining tables...etc. My studio gear was only about 50 of the boxes, honestly. We had 10 boxes of just DVDs and CDs though. Yes, we have too much "stuff"!

Why would you pay to have stuff shipped from Dubai to Aus then have a garage sale. That would make a lot of sense wouldn't it!
