A large helping on toast with plenty of butter.

I'm quite happy to eat 4 or 5 slices instead of something more usual for lunch.

I have not had Marmite in years, love it though.

Marmite and Vegemite has never passed my lips!!! I can't get past the look of Marmite. It just looks like tar!!!

I love it, I still enjoy Marmite soldiers, toasted or plain with lashings of butter and a dippy egg or two;

Barf? what does that mean? you don't know what you're missing Bora, you use them to make the gravy from your roast beef joint don't you? you use them to bake the Yorkshire puddings in don't you? beef dripping and bovril sandwiches, delicious.

I don't make Yorkshire puddings!!! I do biscuits.

Have eaten one Yorkshire pudding in my time. Maybe I got a bad one but it was sooooo greasy. Put me off.

Now if you can add Bovil to gravy that's fine, but straight out of the jar. Anyway, I've been warned by Chocs.

I used to save all the tokens to get the golliewogs. I had an enamelled one, it was my pride and joy!
No more enamelled golliewogs in the UK Mel, only real ones It's such a shame.

No BM, I have no idea what Marmite is. To be honest toast is not a very usual part of our cuisine.We have toast once in a while, just to make more variey! well what we put on the toast? butter and jam, or maybe butter and honey, or cheese, or some kind of sauces.

You should try it, it's really nice. Just toast your bread, let it cool a little, spread with butter and then spread a thin layer of Marmite on, delicious! I don't know how to describe the taste, other than to say it's savoury

I never eat jam or marmalade. Beth has the most annoying habit of spreading butter and jam and then using the knife to get more butter for the second bit of toast, leaving traces of jam in the butter.
It does my head in, I hate sweet stuff like that!

Well there is some place in Tehran called Bazar,which they say you can find any imported products there. I haven't seen any Marmite in supermarkets, but next time I go to Bazar I will look for it. Thanks!
