My latest cinematic fascination is old cowboy movies.

Thus far I've watched,

The Good the Bad the Ugly

A FistFull of Dollars

For a Few Dollars More

The Treasure of Sierra Madre

The Wild Bunch

3:10 to Yuma

These movies are all classics. A cinematic extravaganza. They got it all fab acting, stupendous screenplay and great actors.
So all you western fans out there got any more movies to add to the list?

What??? No True Grit?? I'm talking about the original film with John Wayne. One of his last movies was The Shootist - with a great cast.

Now if you want to watch some great western movies, anything with John Wayne in it. He also did great war movies.

A lot of good spaghetti westerns were made in the late 60s and 70s. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly being #1 on the list.

Nothingh beats the theme for The Good, The etc etc etc

TBH I love all of Mel Brooks movies but really never got blazing saddles ?

I think those movies Dillon mentioned fall under the category of "humor", with one exception, unless someone found humor in it. None of them qualify as a western.

Niceeeeee.... Thanks a ton for the recommendations. Unforgiven will have to wait though, kills my cinematic experience when it's a young Eastwood one day and an aging Eastwood the other. The man should've just been immortal. It's a shame John Wayne and Clint Eastwood never ended up working together.

Anyways got, Once Upon a Time in the West lined up for the weekend and if time permits might even watch Django

Yeah got some pretty big names all around. Steven Speilberg, Jon Faveau, Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig all thrown into a mix of what seems to be a intresting mash up. Sci FI and Western.

Should be out in July.

Might go see Priest 3D this weekend another good mash up of Sci Fi and Vampires

OK, that's doable. But the DVD lady doesn't do Blu Ray. I have the player, but............I'll just have to go 2000 (and the price is right .

Why waste money on DVD ladies ! Download or watch them online. You can easily download Blu Ray rips nowadays, not that I am recommending or condoning anything of the sort. Being illegal and all that !

But then again if your not really a videophile then I guess you could even do with a good Tele Sync rip.
