I am not a golf fan, however had the pleasure to meet Seve Ballesteros at his resort in La Manga and he was a real gent.

Interesting factiod, the game was actually invented in China during the Tang Dynasty. It came to Scotland only in the late 1700's and was a strictly male preserve. The name 'Golf' came from a hand written notice pinned to the clubhouse door of St. Andrews Club saying "Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden."
