Hi there, I'm new here but have made my mind up recently that I want something more for my family.

I have been tempted before by the UAE but didnt take the plunge and have always wondered "what if?".

The main reason was my young daughter at the time, but now she is a bit older (13), we have discussed the possibility of coming over to live and work.

At first she was 110% behind it and was ready to go the next day, however after about a week of thinking about it she has had a change of heart (mostly due to a boy!, but a lot to do with friends etc etce) and is quite reluctant.

She is a very open and personable girl, and I'd really like her to be aware of the opportunities that a move like this (either short or long term) can give her.

I was wondering if anyone new of any relevant websites / forums where we can take her through to find out a bit more about a teenagers life in UAE?

You will probably find better resources on expatwoman.com, it’s difficult enough dealing with teenagers in a progressive environment and the added complications that the restrictions in Dubai will offer are going to make it all the more challenging I’ve no doubt. Be prepared to invest a lot more time and effort than you already do in your Children, extra curricular life for 13-18 Year olds is limited.

Good Luck

Why? dont you have some friends that has same experiences? It is better to learn from those who have really experienced it.
